Kid-Friendly Healthy Halloween Treats for the Classroom

Boo! Can you believe Halloween is almost here? Although it’s tempting to take cupcakes, candies and other sweet treats to your child’s classroom Halloween party, there are healthy alternatives available, too. From mummy water bottles to clementine pumpkins, the kids will be excited about eating healthy once they see these five healthy Halloween treats!

Banana Ghost Pops via Skinnytaste

Banana Ghost Pops
Halloween can be a healthy holiday, and these banana ghost pops are proof. This cute, spooky snack only has 98 calories per serving, and packs a nutritious punch. You’ll need bananas, white chocolate, mini chocolate chips and popsicle sticks. Insert a popsicle stick into each banana slice and freeze for at least 30 minutes. Dip the frozen banana slices into the melted white chocolate and add the mini chocolate chips for eyes while the which chocolate is still wet. Place the banana slices on a baking sheet with wax paper and freeze until serving. For an even healthier alternative, consider substituting the white chocolate for plain or vanilla yogurt. Yum!

Frankenstein Grapes via Sparkles to Sprinkles

Frankenstein Grapes
You don’t have to be a mad scientist to enjoy these Frankenstein grapes! Grapes are a healthy, hydrating food everyone can enjoy this Halloween. This naturally sweet treat will be a monster hit at Halloween parties. You’ll need clear plastic cups, lids, green grapes, a black permanent marker, googly eyes and adhesive. Pluck the grapes from their stems and fill each cup to the top. Adhere two googly eyes to each cup with an adhesive like super glue or hot glue. Draw a mouth, scars and hair on each cup to make the snack come to life.

Clementine Pumpkins via My Fussy Eater

Clementine Pumpkins
If you’re pinched for time, clementine pumpkins are arguably one of the easiest, yet healthiest, Halloween treats! Clementines are low in sugar, yet naturally sweet and packed with vitamins. This delicious snack is a breeze to whip up. Simply purchase enough clementines to feed your party guests and draw jack-o’-lantern faces on the rinds.

Pretzel and Cheese Broomsticks via One Little Project

Pretzel and Cheese Broomsticks
These pretzel and cheese broomsticks are wicked awesome. You’ll need two ingredients: pretzel sticks and string cheese. Cut each string cheese into three pieces and fray the ends of the cheese to resemble a broom. Finish it off by inserting a pretzel stick into the top of the broom. Yes, it’s really that simple!

Mummy Water Bottles

Mummy Water Bottles
Your little witches and ghouls are going to be thirsty after gobbling up their delicious, healthy Halloween treats. Make drinking water a fun, hydrating Halloween activity by wrapping Absopure Packables in white gauze, duct tape or paper mache. Fasten two adhesive googly eyes to the water bottle to achieve a spooky, mummy look. Remember: Staying hydrated is important every day, but you’ll especially want to make sure your little ones are drinking enough water before running door to door for trick-or-treating!
