Racing Through 2024
Absopure had a packed year of races and fun runs! It’s an honor sponsoring these events, fueling runners, walkers, and the occasional costumed competitor at races big and small. The Detroit Free Press Marathon stood out as one of our highlights. As Michigan’s largest race, Absopure is there to hydrate thousands of runners pushing their limits in the Detroit city streets. From pre-race activities at the Health & Fitness Expo to water stations along the route, Absopure was there to keep marathoners moving. Being part of this iconic race reminds us of the resilience and spirit of our local community.
The Epic Races Probility Ann Arbor Marathon blended scenic views with a powerful mission in Ann Arbor. Runners raced through the University of Michigan campus and downtown Ann Arbor, all while supporting mental health awareness. We were proud to join the cause, ensuring hydration was one thing participants didn’t have to worry about during the race.
The 47th HAP CareSource Crim Festival of Races in Flint was another shining moment. Known for its history and community focus, Crim brought together athletes of all levels, and Absopure was there to cheer them on, bottle in hand. And let’s not forget the quirky races that made us smile! From the out-of-this-world RF Events Martian Invasion of Races in Dearborn to the dino-mite fun of the T-Rex Tri Series in Brighton, these events reminded us that running is as much about having fun as fitness.
Beyond the Races
Absopure celebrated the spirit of community at local events like Movie Night in the D at Campus Martius Park, where we provided hydration and exclusive Absopure swag during a warm summer evening in the heart of Detroit. We headed to the Ann Arbor Art Fair, where artists and attendees enjoyed Absopure’s refreshing All Natural Spring Water while exploring stunning displays of creativity. We joined the festive fun at The Paul W. Smith Show’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, helping attendees stay energized with water and coffee during this cherished Detroit tradition—a perfect opportunity to showcase Absopure’s convenient coffee delivery service for homes and offices.
Fusion of Music and Hydration
The 2024 Detroit Jazz Festival brought together music lovers from near and far to enjoy world-class performances, and Absopure was proud to continue our many years as the Official Bottled Water Provider for the event. As part of our sponsorship, we elevated the experience for one lucky fan and their friends with an exclusive VIP giveaway. The prize included preferred seating at every stage, access to Lincoln Gardens Hospitality, and custom Detroit Jazz Festival bottles of Absopure All Natural Spring Water, making the event truly unforgettable.
Throughout the weekend, attendees enjoyed performances at the Absopure Waterfront Stage while staying refreshed with our signature water offerings. Supporting the arts and helping music lovers beat the heat is just one way Absopure continues to connect with the community.
The Model T Celebration
Absopure took part in celebrating the 116th birthday of the iconic Model T at the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant. The event offered a journey back in time with vintage car rides, live music, and activities for the whole family. Attendees explored unique vendors, enjoyed games for kids, and shared a slice of celebratory birthday cake while delving into the rich history of automotive innovation. Throughout the day, Absopure provided hydration to keep the festivities flowing seamlessly. Supporting an event that honors such a significant chapter of Motor City’s legacy was a privilege.
Recycling with a Purpose
This year, Absopure partnered with the University of Michigan for the 2024 Recycle Bowl, an initiative aimed at setting a world record for recycling. Held during the Michigan vs Oregon football game at Michigan Stadium, the event encouraged fans to recycle plastic, paper, and aluminum, helping to make a meaningful environmental impact.
With thousands of fans participating, the Recycle Bowl showcased the power of collective action in creating a greener future. Absopure’s role as a sponsor reflects our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The event set a school record, collecting over 44,000 pounds of recyclable materials, including PET plastic bottles, aluminum, paper, cardboard, wooden pallets, and composting. This total surpassed the 40,000 pounds collected during its inaugural event in 2023, further emphasizing the importance of sustainable practices and environmental impact.
Our Reach Beyond Michigan
Absopure didn’t just stay local in 2024—we took our mission on the road! The Greater GO! St. Louis Marathon was a standout moment as we served as the Official Bottled Water Provider. From the expo and packet pickup to the finish line, Absopure provided hydration and swag to runners and spectators, cementing our place as a partner in wellness beyond Michigan borders.
We also made our mark at the Chicago Hot Chocolate Run, where the energy was sweet, as well as the GO! St. Louis Halloween Race, where festive costumes and refreshing water combine for a fun-filled day. The MO’ Cowbell Marathon in historic St. Charles, Missouri, rounded out our travels with Absopure hydrating participants as they ran alongside the race’s beloved mascot, Chuck the Cow.
