Maintaining proper hydration promotes circulation at the skin’s base, promoting rapid skin repair. Without proper hydration, not only will you feel thirsty, your skin will also suffer the repercussions. If an adequate amount of water isn’t ingested, your skin will become dry, dull and flat, causing wrinkles, pores and other imperfections to become more prominent.

The University Missouri-Columbia found that drinking water increased blood flow to the skin. Increased blood flow is often linked to younger, brighter and healthier appearing skin. Think about how your good your skin looks during the spring and summer months. Imagine looking that way all the time by maintaining hydrated skin all year round.
We often overlook the connection between drinking water and acne. Skin is 64% water. While it’s natural for skin to have a thin layer of oil on the surface, dehydration can trigger oil glands to produce more oil. Overly oily skin is an invitation for unwanted blemishes.
