How Absopure is Making a Splash in the Running Community
One of the reasons Absopure donates millions of bottles of refreshing water to organizations across the nation is that we believe a community that supports one another and values good health is essential for leading a fulfilling life.
Where are these millions of bottles headed? Absopure proudly supports local organizations, charities, and events in the communities we serve and beyond through sponsorships and donations. These events serve strong purposes, bringing the community together and raising funds and awareness toward many important causes. Check out how Absopure is making a splash in the running community.
Making an Impact One Step at a Time
Here are a few organizations Absopure has partnered with this year through fun runs and races:
RF Events: Absopure is the Official Bottled Water of RF Events, also known as Running Fit, and provides refreshing water to participants. RF Events’ goal is to create races that become traditions for the whole family while raising awareness and funds for meaningful causes, such as their Shamrocks and Shenanigans 1K and 5K. All proceeds from Shamrocks and Shenanigans go to Save A Heart, which aids patients and their families who come to the Michigan Congenital Heart Center at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
Hope Water Project: Clean drinking water is generally accessible in the United States, but this privilege has not been afforded to the Pokot people of Western Kenya. Kensington Church’s Hope Water Project Annual 5K & Fun Run raises funds to help build wells and bring safe drinking water to to this impoverished, yet determined community. Absopure is honored to donate water to this meaningful event each year, keeping participants hydrated and ready to run for a great cause.
Komen Race for the Cure: Komen Race for the Cure is the world’s largest education and fundraising event for breast cancer, bringing together people whose lives have been affected by this devastating disease. For more than a decade, Absopure has sponsored this race, providing over a million bottles of water to runners and walkers, all racing for the cure to breast cancer. Absopure employees have volunteered hundreds of hours of their time at Komen events.
Breakthrough T1D: Approximately 9 million people worldwide live with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Breakthrough T1D aims to create a world without T1D, focusing on raising awareness and funds to cultivate community support, scientific research, and both industry and academic partnerships. As an organization that values health and well-being, Absopure looks forward to supporting these walks.
The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids: The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids facilitates programming and events that improve wellness in the Grand Rapids community, including the Visser Family YMCA Buck Creek Run. Through Absopure’s water donations, participants stay refreshed and ready to run for a great cause. Proceeds from this event provide scholarships to the Visser Family YMCA Impact After School Program for Grandville, Jenison, and Hudsonville middle-school students.
